Hey everyone.
Just joined recently. Having trouble finding good deals on the wheels and tires I want - oh well, all part of the process it seems. Anywho, I just finished CADing my BSR and i'm starting to weld the frame. Just figured i'd post some pictures from planning.

Welcome to the form, there is a lot of good information here, I have gotten all of my design questions answered. Spend some time reading the Threads.
I am also having trouble finding the "cool" wheel & tire set-ups, I guess you have to Pay to Play. Figure $100. per corner to get set up "nice"
I like your cad drawing, I didn't do that, thats why I threw my first frame in the trash. My second frame was designed with CARDing, Yea-drawn out on Cardboard. Ha. old joke. But it works for me.
I like your footrests on the steering forks, consider that idea officialy stolen by me. Thanks.

Those CAD Drawings are great, I was going to do the same for mine but lazyness is much stronger than anything else, do I also did the cardboard cutouts, but if you plan on making more then 1, I advise making a wood jig, I made one for mine that has removeable slots for Honda, B&S engines mounting. This helped me push out tons of BS for all my friends so we all can get in trouble...after all, a good friend will bail you out of jail but a GREAT friend will be sitting next to you saying, boy we screwed up this time....lol

Welcome to the forum hopebot! Cool CAD drawings.
VashRazr - can you post some pics of your jig to build multilple BSRs? I've got some friends who are considering the same.

It is back at my parents place, but I'll be traveling back for the Daytona 500 in a few weeks. Only pictures I have of it, are from my build that has my frame on it. If your interested in that I can post them or e-mail you them. I built it as a progression as I built mine knowing the only part I would "need" to change would be the engine placement.

I use Solidworks - it's really fast and COSMOS' dynamics are really useful. I do FSAE so this is kind of a side project to occupy my free time. plus, i haven't welded in forever so i'm brushing up on my skills.
I would actually suggest a nice little program called Ares for file transfer purposes - not a big fan of Kazaa. its relatively free of spam files. watch out for viruses though.

Vanilla is always the best. Then add some of my own frozen cookie dough and milk and I have defeated Dairy Queen!

Have you ever put Maple Syrup on vanilla ice cream ? mmmmgood
I worked for Schwan's for 16 years.

That is so ironic...I finish alot of nites off with ice-cream, frozen cookie dough, and milk too(sometimes with peanut butter)..That has got to be the BEST combination out there and every1 think sim weird for putting milk in my ice-cream....just browsin through some builds ans saw that and had to comment.
