ok guys i am kinda a speed junky i ride a hayabusa on the street and a built banshee in the dirt i am building my first barstool and i have a great cart chassis that i am modifying for my frame. i am planning on using a 8-horse briggs i have had lying around but i also have a 3.5 horse briggs. just wondering if the 8 will be way to much. just for referance i am 6'6" and way around 285 pounds i figured the bigger motor the better but what do you all think.:thumb:

Hello, I would use the 8 hp briggs. It is not over kill with your size and weight! The 3.5 would be a bit small for you! If you had a spare hayabusa engine around I would throw it on!! LOL:laughing: Post some pics of your ride!! Good luck!!:thumb:

I used as 125cc on mine and it's about 12HP. It has a 4 Speed Automatic tranny and it currently runs 47mph. I have a 28 tooth rear sprocket and I think I know how to get a rear sprocket into the teens.

So my advice from one speed junkie to another, take the motor out of that Banshee and put it in your BSR!!

Have Fun!
