I'm an FVee racer with the SCCA an I would love to have a BSR for getting around the pits. If you know what an FVee is you know we are the low income racers. So here is my offor. I live in Indianapolis IN. I want a working BSR in my garage for $700. So I guess that if the seller lived on the other side of the country this would not be possible since shipping would eat most of thatr off. So any takers?

Hello, Why not just build one? It is not hard to do and you can take pride in saying you built it! You could add a lot more good parts (Upgrades) by doing it yourself also. You will get a lower grade BSR if it has to be shipped to you because of the 700.00 limit! I could build you one but it would have cheaper tires and wheels and just a centrifical clutch, cheap stool, manual brakes, 5.5 hp pull start engine, In primer only for 700.00 shipped to you! But you could build one and use more upgrades and still have about 700.00 in it! Your choice!!:thumb:

As a racer and my own crew chief I understand motors and how to build them up but one skill I lack is welding. All the "kits" I see for sale require them to be welded up. I wish I knew how to weld, "along with a few other things", but I lack that knowledge and equipment.

If your just wanting to buy one because you can not weld just buy the frame all ready welded? Mike sells the frame welded up already and a complete parts kit to finish it out! Just contact him and ask for the price of a welded up Classic Cruiser frame!! All you have to do is bolt the handle bar supports in place when you get it and your done with the frame except painting of coarse. It will also come with a parts list for the needed parts to complete it.Here is his link: http://barstoolracersupply.com/. He offers this for those who do not feel thier welding skills are good enough! Hope this helps! :thumb:

No problem!! If I was you and into racing, as I am! I would go to Ebay and buy a Cheap wire welder! A little practice with it and you would have a skill that you need as a racer! As a Racer knowing how to weld is almost a must! Things break and a lot of times there is not anyone available to get it welded at the track! Besides after you learn this you could build and design your own racers !! It would be worth while thing to learn!!

Cool, Let me guess the red and black one is yours! Looks very nice! What size and type engine do they run and what is the top speed? Where do you run them at? Post some pics as you build your BSR we like to see the progress!

Yep that one is mine. There are plenty of pictures of it on the photo gallery page. The motor is a type 1 VW motor. 1.2 liter, 4cyl, Boxter layout. It runs out of muscle at 128 mph. We race all over the country, where ever there is a road course. I see your from Texas, the SCCA races FVees at the Texas Motor Speedway all the time. I tend to stick close to home. Indianapolis Raceway Park, Grattan, Mid-Ohio, Gingerman. You should go watch them run by you. The SCCA only charges $5 for people to watch and the open paddock design allows you to full access to the cars/crew/drivers. Take one of your Barstools out there. I guarontee you will get an offer for it.

Great I will have to go check it out! I cant take my barstool racers anywhere without someone wanting them! LOL There aint any around here besides mine but that is fixing to change! I have several people waiting in line for one! When I get my barrel racer done that will start a whole new type of building! Some want a wagon built and one even wants me to try and build a motorized surfboard! LOL that will be fun!
