Anyone please help me find an airfilter that will allow more clearance for my BSR. I have a 6.5hp Intek B&S I/C (206 ?) that has the flat filter. I want to find something that will bolt up to the carb and either wrap around to the left side of the eng or some other direction that will allow clearance for the left rear leg of my future BSR. I will also need a different exhaust and want something that will go out the back at approx. 45 deg. angle... anyone got any ideas/suggestions??

I went to the local go-kart supply store, and got a K&N Filter for an animal engine, and made my own bracket to hold it using part of the old filter holder and some pipe welding. Hope this helps...the filter had a 30 degree angle on it, and the pipe i connected it to the air intake was an oil fill tube for a chevy 350 racing engine. And then just some radator hose I had laying around. Looks good and runs like a champ.

Thanks... I'm not sure I'll be able to use the old filter housing to either weld or "solder" a pipe to, but I have been looking at doing that lately. If you wouldn't mind, send me a pic or two of your setup there. I'm not sure, but I think your carb location/setup is similar to the one I have, but I don't know what kind of filter yours came with. Thanks

Would this work from Finn-Cool? www.finn-cool.com (http://www.finn-cool.com)

Hey thanks... Yeah, it would be perfect, except for the price. I want to find something similar to that, but not near that expensive... that adapter looks like it was machined out of stock aluminum... I want to go the cheaper route and find something that will give me a short "tubular" end to clamp on a hose to relocate the filter with. If I find what I'm looking for (price) it'll probably be something that was pressed and not machined. Thanks for the link
