Hello, I have never milled any heads on these and do not know exactly how much clearance you have between the valves and piston. This is a good question as i was going to do the same with a Honda clone and if anyone has done this it sure would be of a great help to a bunch of us! Post some info on this if you have done it and know what the clearances are!!:thumb:

You can mill any stock OHV (over head valve) motor and the motor will respond with more TQ. This is due to the added compression.
If your motor is a OHC (over head cam) I wouldn't reccomend even touching it.
If your running a stock factory cam, milling at least .100 sould get you started on the right track. With the Honda you can just buy a small chamber head if you like.
You have to remember that you will have to at least run 91 octane when doing this.

Stock cam I wouldnt go anymore than a .100 without looking in to some clearance issues. If youre not running the governor and winding the engine up pretty tight the cam tends to ramp the valves pretty hard and could create an issue with the piston to valve clearance. All my animals have the head shaved just about that much and have enough clearance. Go for .075 and see where that puts you. Be sure to run a little higher octane fuel to prevent detonation. We mill those heads by the way for 25.00 plus shipping if your interested. Will do a complete blueprint on the head and cut it for 100.00 plus shipping. Good luck

Voodoo where are you located?
You really don't have to worry with these Hondas, or Clone motors. The cams maxium lift is only around .230". Yes that's less then those old school 5hp briggs.
I really don't like the milling. I would rather buy a 14cc head, and then install some 1.2 ratio rockers. That would really wake your motor up. Then get an after market carb, and you should make more power then a Animal.
