Anyone using a bicycle style generator to feed lights and or a battery?
I drive my stool at camp after a day of wheeling the Jeep, I use it to go and socialize with people at other campsites.

I'd like to figure out a set-up that used a 6 or 12 volt battery and one of those bicycle generators to "help" the battery from going dead. I would need the lights to work at a stop, so I know that I'll need the battery. It's just a matter of figuring out the generator/ charging system.

I used LED brake lights and same for head lights. These will run off of a AA battery for hours upon hours. Just an idea that is much simpler. With a switch on your brake handle it works like a charm. I did this all in attempt to make mine street legal. Almost got it to do it to...lol

My only suggestion is get a motor with a stator in it and then you can generate 12v.

My 125cc build has a 12v feed while the engine is running, so I can run lights or charge batteries. To bad it is only pull start..

The stool is finished. It's got a 6.5 honda clone....
I would like to figure out the bicycle charging system just for the cool factor, but I may end up with the AA batteries instead (for the simple factor).....
