Hey guys, what other kind of projects have you guys built other than bsr's like anything else?

My wife and i like to go camping but hate sleeping in tents and only go out on the weekends so we dont need a camper trailer when we go so the next project on our agenda this summer is to start a teardrop trailer. found a pretty good forum with lots of folks all around the world called www.mikenchell.com (http://www.mikenchell.com) the forum also has free plans on generic benroy's.

Hey Fenters2005
Thats funny you should ask, I built a Teardrop Camper a year ago.
Actualy I finished it in May of 2006, it took me about 10 months to build.
It's a 5x10 Weekender Style rig. It has TV-DVD, AM-FM-CD radio, Microwave, Air Conditioning, 5 Gallon water tank, Fantastic fan, sunroof, AC/DC electric cooler, I could go on and on....
It's now for sale, as I plan on building Teardrop Camper #2.
www.mikenchell.com (http://www.mikenchell.com) is the same web site I found all my information on.
You can look up "Gadget Man's Weekender" to see my rig. I'm in the "Hall of Fame" and I have several threads posted.
The rig is in Minnesota, let me know if you want to see some pictures.

I did a ground up rebuild on this 1965 Barracuda Formula S a few years ago, after it sat in my garage for a couple of decades.

hey frozen,
years ago I had a 66 barracuda. It had a straight axel out of a 1950 pickup to support the 440, tunnel rammmed motor. 4 speed manual. That baby SCREAMED!! I sold it cause I just never drove it. What a fun car though. Your 65 looks sweet!!

I'm glad you were able to find/see the pictures,
I''ll send you a few better photos on Monday, I have them all on my computer at work.
Yes, thats a sunroof out of a Nisan Pathfinder that I got on E-Bay for $10.00.
We sold an older gas guzzeling motor home to build the Tear Drop, my wife was used to getting up, making coffee and not having to go outside till noon. She has never tent camped so she got used to the luxurys of the motorhome real fast. But she loved the Tear drop for quick little getaways where you can travel fast, travel cheap & easy. We could even go off road with the little camper. We used to pull it along if we knew we were going to be partying a little heavy at a friends place, and just sleep in the driveway, get up in the morning and leave.
Tear drops are a great step between tent camping and travel trailer camping. The mattress folds up so you can pack all your coolers and other junk right in the camper.
I just love them, thats why I started designing #2

yeah or you could run a 2link with no axle. have independent axles. one on each side of the frame. kind of like the bagged motorcycle trailers. airshocks mounted on a slope of each arm.
