Briggs Question?????????

I have several old briggs, 20 plus years old. One is a 3hp two are 4. They say "easy spin" on the side covers but I havent check for any other modle numbers yet. Does anyone know if these are basicly the same as a 5 hp? Could I order a 5 hp rebuild kit and just bore the cyl to fit the new piston? Would the gaskets interchange? The all look about the same. Also I would want to put a different carb on it. What are some choices of carbs? Like what is run on the animal.
