I am thinking of putting a Honda CR80 engine on a BSR. Do you guys think that would be to much(as if there could be to much power). Can you think of any problems that I might have with powering my BSR with this engine? I realize that I would probly only get to 2nd or 3rd gear. I am just about ready to start building and any help would be appreciated.

Theres been some 2 stroke shifters built before. There is an enormous amount of power with the cr80 so remember lots of padding, a good brain bucket, and some gloves to prevent the gravel from getting into your palms when you hit the ground

That motor will work fine. If you gear it right you can use 1st for a granny gear and use 2nd or 3rd to take off from a stand still. Eather way it will work.

I will have to use that motor for something else. I have a 5hp B&S that has been bored and stroked and burns Methanol. I was told it sould have around 18HP and this thing flys. I can't even imagine that CR80 engine in one. I am thinking of an off-roader that it might work for in the future though.

How in the world are you getting 18 hp out of a briggs? Our raptors are stroked and bored .160 over and sleeved and we are only getting about 16 out of them. And thats with the big valves, 3 hp billet flywheel, big tilly on alky and jr 3 intake, rlv exhaust and major rod bending compression
