Ahhhh, I'd forgotten about that with Honda and Honda clones. Unfortunately, to use a TAV2 that is what has to be done. However, I have only ground the rib down and not modified the oil filler successfully. If you don't use the TAV2, you only have two other options that I am aware of.

The first and easiest is to go with is a centrifigul clutch. However, this will not last as long nor give you the gearing range the TAV2 will.

The second option but harder to setup is to go with the torque converter setup which has a separate driver and driven unit. This is harder to setup because you have to include a jackshaft between the driven unit and axle sprocket.

Given these options I'd go ahead and grind down the rib on the TAV2. However, I'd respect whatever decision you decide to make.

:bigcry: :dizzy: :eek2:  thats about the best way to describe the way i feel about this whole situation.........

so i said the hell with it and ended the auction, ok now some one answer these:

do you guys just use a side grinder to trim one of the tabs?
which chain do you guys use regular or nickle plated?

Grind it down Fenters!

That's what makes us fabricators. You can cut, grind and weld a frame together and you can also grind a little rib off a TAV. :smash:

Now getter done!
