The controller is a Curtis Lift truck controller (24 Volts). The tie rods are also fork lift parts. (Brake Linkage). I will be using a 24 volt drive motor from another fork lift. Can you see the theme here?

Data plate from motor Hard to read in photo. 2.5 K/watts

I have not secured the batteries yet, but they will be side by side in front of the motor. Probably garden tractor batteries. More to come.

Hey Frank, Can you explain the motor setup? Looks to be a golfcart style motor. Did you have to fabricate the output shaft in the engine?

The motor is from a Crown Pallet Jack. It is a standard motor available from the original 60 PE up through the newest model PE 4500. I did not have to fabricate the shaft, as it has a brake assy on it in its original form. I found the sprocket in the McMaster Carr catalog. I will shorten the shaft in final construction. The shaft has at least 2 stepdowns. I did have to shim the sprocket away from the motor. It is a 24 volt 2.4 kw (3.3 HP) The motor is cabled to the controller, which came from a crown pallet jack. I had the motor mount fabricated by a local metal shop. I will gladly answer all questions.

Well, I got it moving today. I was working in the bed of my truck, with the stool on blocks. The motor actually ran. When I put it on the ground, it would not move. Oh well, theres always tomorrow.

I spy a Camaro in the garage. Can't tell, either 67, 68 or 69. Going green on the bar stool, good luck.
