Hey Grady!

That's one crazy ride you built. How fast does it go? And do you have any videos you can upload for us to see?

Thanks,
-Mike Bean

First welcome grady. And wow that is one hell of a bsr. I would love to get my hands on that one. Sad that you don't have any video. I made my first BSR this year . i got it apart right now for paint. just can't find the time to work on it right now. But it is not even close to yours. Do you plan on making another one?

78 mph! Your nuts! Sometimes when I get mine opened up (40 mph) I start having thoughts about what if a wheel comes loose etc...

I guess you only live once and you need to take chances to have the memories to tell your grand kids when you can't really do anything anymore.

I know I have plenty of stories myself to tell and many things I would never do again.

yes its nuts but i have alot longer wheel base than most bsrs because of the engine that i used but the back sprocket that i used and the short tires i figured that is real close to the same ratio as the motorcycle donor that it came from. And if you think im nuts a good friend of mine built one that is around 35in wheel base and powered his with an 1100 virago engine that came out of his pulling tractor so it had some pretty extensive engine work done to it ..........now he is nuts : )

It is a 1" gocart axel it was 36" but i cut it down to length. I bought at the local gocart supplier in town. im not sure what type it is i just know it is a racing axel

is it hollow or isnt it??

im planning on building one with a 600cc engine and im worried that 9840 steel in a 1.25 " diameter might flex.

It is a solid axel of course and i havent had any problems with flexing or wanting to bend its just a 1" SOLID axel with a 1/4 " keyway i hope this helps
