I just picked up a new product for this great new sport!
We all have talked about idea's from how fast and how to stop but there is a saftey issue wa all should concider when building our machines.
If we fall of at a high rate even a slow rate of speed there should be a device to stop the motor from running thus stopping the maching from going nuts on ya!
Tether Saftey Kill Switch, these things work great and will adapt to ANY motor with a spark plug.

just cross your wires from the way they are now and I would think that would do it.

there are TWO kinds of tether kill switches ( I use Artic Cat snowmobile n.c. switches on my tractor pullers) , N.C.- normally closed circuit - with cap in place (old style) and N.O. - normally open circuit - when you pull the cap the circuit is completed/closed. You probably have the later n.o. and need the former n.c. setup. Swapping wires doesn't change it.
