Paint after sandblasting

I just got my BSR frame back from the sandblaster. I was just going to shoot primer, then sand with 220, prime again and then paint. The blaster recommended that I sand the frame with 220 first, then prime. What do you guys recommend? FWIW, I'm using rattle can Rustoleum... TIA!

I didnt sand my frame and had no issues with it sticking, I did sand down the primer with a the finest sand paper I could find in the garage when it was dry the next day, and I had no issues and the paint looks good.
