I got it all painted and put back together and took er for a ride. I had so much fun, everyone who saw it loved it. I ran up and down the street for about 15 min. or so,then parked for a couple minutes to replace the set screw on the sprocket hub. When I pulled out on the road again I put the hammer down only to hear the Po-Po's siren behind me. Luckily, he didn't give me any tickets. He marveled at the sight before him, commented on how nice my wheels were, then warned me to stay off the streets. I asked him if it would be okay to ride it home and he said he wanted to see it run one more time!! Gotta love the police when they're cool!!!

This is what you do if you can. Take a digital camera with you. And when you get stopped it is more so they can see it than the law. Use the camera and offer to take some pics of them and the BSR. They will not say no. Then get their e mail address and send the pics. Put them on your buddy list. And when I change something or take it to the track. I e mail them and tell them to come out and ride it. Now they told the best times to ride it in my neighborhood. And i don't get stopped as much in my car now. LOL

I was at a festival with one of my B.S.R's and by the end of the weekend I had most of the county police taking it out for a ride. I even let them use one to patrol the steets that weekend. Cops drink beer too! Let-em-Rip

WOW! what a idea. make one for the cops to patrol a festival or the fair. You know they ride those things that you can stand on with the two wheels. Make one with lights and paint it black and white. it would be kinda cool.

I think it is cool that cops can actually be cool. There are so many cops that you hear about being jerks to others.
I think when you have something of interest that most others do not such as a BSR, then you are going to get on there good side.
Cops are just like you and me when they are not in uniform. I remember one time at a bar sitting next to three off duty cops telling stories about their jobs. They are just like us and sometimes even worse... These cops were drinking and driving the night they left the bar and even asked me if I wanted to go with them to a strip bar. I don't have anything against cops, but hanging out with them when you do not really know them make me a bit worried because of the power they have and can use/abuse.

Ok how big of ticket has any body got their BSR. I live in a pretty cool neighbourhood but I know its just a matter of time before I'm driving it down to the store to get milk. Can you get a D.U.I. (driving under the influence) or impared or whatever you want to call drunk driveing on a bar stool I mean you are on a bar stool that should a least double the legal limit shouldn't it. But anyhow everybody come clean how big can the tickets get.

Hello, In the good old State of Texas you can get a D.U.I for driving anything drunk, even a riding Lawnmower, anything that is motorized and your on a Public Highway. I own a Motorcycle shop in our town and they never have given me any problems, They have a lot of times asked me to ride what ever I have built down the road to there Headquarters to show them my Latest toy! They get a kick out of seeing them and take a lot of pictures! I live in a small town! I would not try this in a big City Like Dallas or Houston on their Interstate highways Though!!!

I can believe that. I was at a bar one night (imagine that) and I was sitting next to a few cops. I was listening to all their stories and I was surprised.
Cops are like the preachers daughter. They are supposed to act like they care and be good in the public eye, but behind closed doors all hell breaks loose.

If a cop really wants to, they will give you a DUI even if you are not drunk and then you have to prove them wrong.
But most likely, if they see you on a BSR, they are going to pull you over and ask what it is than hassle you.
They are way too cool for cops to be jerks to you, unless maybe your riding around drunk and ripping up peoples lawns.

The average COP that had never seen a BSR before would shake his head and think to himself "I had to many doughnuts I'm seeing things"
