Yep it is part of the frame. i just started welding and this is kinda fun. i have to get some hangers and stuff to finish it tomarrow. But i just wanted to show how far i have come. everyone can't wait till it is done. We have a lot of events here in Claremore. And I will be riding it in all of them .

Hey Warpaint,

Your frame looks good. My question is have you mocked up the inner frame rails with a motor, motor mount plate and barstool?

The inner frame specs depend on your engine, barstool and motor mount plate. I would advise to tack weld only until all fit in place.

I had most of the bar stool mock assembled and tacked before I did any finish welding.

It looks like you have the same plans I have. Dont just go by his specs and weld. Everything is based around the bar stool width and engine location, this is very important.

You look like you are going in the right direction and I look forward to seeing your finished bar stool!

Thank you . I have a motor and barstool that i used to mock it up to . BUT the motor isn't any good so i will be getting a new one. But it looks like every thing is going to clear. But i do see your point . A tack is easy to remove than a weld. i will do that from now on. And yes it is much like yours . That is why i'm asking so much about your BSR . i have never done this before . But i love working with my hands.

The only thing I can say it mock everything pertaining to the motor and stool. I had a hard time getting the clearances correct on mine. I had to position the stool and engine. I think I actually had the axel and sprocket in place so I could make sure the tork-a-verter was aligned and all clearances were good.

If you already had a bar stool I expected to see the bar stool mounts already tacked and a motor mount plated tacked in.

We are working on some bar stool build plans with actual real photos to help others. It is easy to over looks the simple things if your not use to building projects like this.

Think of it this way, every bar stool build is unique to the parts you use.

Hey I'm back . Man Have i been so busy . I now got some time to work on my BSR.

Hey mbean could you send me some close up pics of yours . it would help alot. I'm making some changes in the design of mine. So far i have set the barstool and foot support lower . And i may have to put pedals on it because I want to use a steering wheel . And i changed the steering shaft . I used the bearings and neck off of a bike i had in my shop. Thanks . I will send some pics just as soon as i get my cam back from a friend.

Ok another question. Is the motor at a angle? and why?

I see that you can buy mounts that put it at a angle.

No, the motor is sitting flat. It might just be the way the photo was taken.

I am not sure why they sell those plates, but I am sure it is for the racing karts and you really would not need it for a BSR.
