hi, i am confused on how to hook up a throttle cable to a briggs intek... does anyone have a diagram or close up picture, or good instructions? any help is appreciated.

I talked to Briggs reps last weekend at the lawn and garden show. Take the tank off, and check under there! I did ask them if they can find a better way of making it easier to hook these things up.I doubt they listened but you never know! glenn

Take the plastic side cover off and pull the kill switch wire off and loosen the nut that hold rension on the trottle arm, and all will work fine... been there done it.

hey thanks, do you have any photos d and j racing. i wanna see how you did it..is it pretty confusing with the wire and do you have to drill a hole into the throttle arm like mbean....i dont wanna mess with the engine too much...thanks

This is for the older style Briggs engines, not the Inteks.

The draw back to that ebay kit is it leaves the governer intack, you wouldnt want that would you.....you could however use those parts to go under the tank remove the governer parts and make up the linkage. Thats what I did. But I also welded my cable attachment point on the arm with a tig. May be tuff to do with only a mig welder. the arms are very thin.

I am making a throttle kit for these engines for the Karts when you remove the govenor. I will post some pics this week.
