Hello, Mike I came across this site Quit by accident. I was looking up parts on ebay and run across a barstool racer. I never had heard of one and it got my interests up and I did a search on it. I found this site and was very pleased to see all the information on Barstools and also how each one on here helps each other with info. I Believe this is the Best site anywhere I have found. You have done a Great job with this site. Keep up the Great Job!! I look forward to being on here and learning each day!

Hi Mike, I agree with moto1fast you have done a great job with this site. I've been interested in bsr's for quite some time I saw one at a car show and thought they were the "coolest". I knew some day I would like to build my own and here we are now. I found your site by searching for information about bsr's. Keep up the good work, Roger

I was just getting into welding. I was at a welding forum and seen Mike there making a BSR. And that was just what I was doing there. I had see one and wanted it to be my first welding project. I followed mike over to his site here. And He and all the other builders here got me started in the right direction. I have been all over the web looking and saving pics of barstools racers. But this is the best site hands down.

I saw a BSR at Canton, Texas and thought "I can make one of those." So I started searching the web, did the E-Bay thing, then back to the web because I just knew that there had to be a better place where people had done this before. I found your fourm and have been sitting and reading for two days now. Guess I should go take a shower

To be honest....I don't really remember! But....I'm glad I did find it. I have been going to build one of "those things" for some time but never got around to it because of other projects in the works. Well, I have added to the "other projects" and really enjoy this site, and enjoy all the projects folks here are working on and enjoy the pics. Mike....Thanks for giving us a place to share our work with everyone and to trade ideas and information. I know a lot of people are afraid to ask questions because they think they are "dumb". There are no dumb questions. The only dumb question is the one that's never asked! That's the only way to learn. The best thing I like about this board is that there are no "smart asses" here. When someone ask a question, everyone seems to help as much as they can. Hey! we all started somewhere, and we all wern't smart out of the box. There is a great bunch "Stoolies" here!

I found this site on outlawracing.net through a hyperlink. This is a great website I check it out every day. Im wanting to build my first bsr, so i get on here for ideas. I bought the tubing a month ago( 30 feet 1 1/4" 4130 ) just trying to decide how i want to do it. I dont want to go through any trial and error so i am carefully planning so it will be right the first time. I want to use all ultra light components and go as light as possable. Cant decide on a motor, there is so many ways to go. Mike, you do a great job on your site, keep up the good work.

I was surfing the net about a year ago and found barstoolracing.net, it looked like something that I could build that would be different. I was searched E-Bay yesterday and purchased the Classic Cruiser Plans from barstoolracer68.
So today I have just purchased a 6.5 hp engine from E-Bay. Great looking site with lost of good information.

Hey Guy!
We started this forum last January. The site has grown very fast over the last 11 months. I think this may have been the first forum dedicated to building barstool racers. As of today I have not see any others yet.
If you want to read about how this site had come about, view this thread http://barflyracers.com/showthread.php?t=2
I also want to say thank you to the other members who posted compliments about the site. Hearing from others that this site has been helpful lets me know I have accomplished what I set out to do.

I'm in oklahoma and started mine last year with the help of mike. I have never done anything like this before. I'm a graphic artist. And i have only seen 3 around here. And only know of one other guy building one close.
But when yor done.. and we are never done. it is so cool. I set mine out when we have a yard sale and the guys look at it and the girls shop.
I have even had some come back to take photos. Now I don't think of mine as a show stopper. But to someone that dont have one or has never seen one up close I guess it is. You will see what i mean when your done. Yours looks great and you will change stuff along the way. keep it up we want to see you running it down the road.

Hi Mike - found this site as I am friends with Ron, the owner of Rocket Barstools Mfg. I was very interested in what can ( & has! ) been done to make these radical and faster! The site wasn't very easy to get around in though. And being a woman, I could do without the immature pictures of women - I want to see the different barstools! I love to race!
