Just finished building my bsr last week and had a buddy of mine follow me down the road, running at about 40 mph. All was good goofing around the neighborhood for a couple days after work, well another friend of mine came to the house and wanted to go for a spin. I warned him it was fast and on the top heavy side, well he was booking around on it and ended up coming down the road on a wheelie lost control hit a curb and face planted into a parked SUV. Well he's been in the hospital for a week now, fractured skull and severe bleeding on the brain and has nerve damage as well on the brain. These things are fun to play with as long as you have repect for them and don't push the limits.

I agree very dangerous but very fun. All of my friends who have them all wear a type of glove (race style) and atleast a motocycle helmet. This won't save us from a bad crash, but it will do something. With all danger comes fun, just need to respect it.

Hope your friend gets better soon

I am sorry to hear about your friend. A post like yours help to bring things into perspective with these barstool racers.

I have ridden many types of atv's and I would consider them all to be dangerous. With anything you ride or drive, you need to learn it and have respect for what can happen and be careful.

When I was growing up I rode my bike off a 3 foot wall (did not see it because I was riding in the woods) and I woke up in the street and my father was there. I ended up getting several stitches in my head that day and still have the scar.

I hope your friend comes through ok.

Very sorry to hear of your friend and wish him the best.

All "toys" are fun but also dangerous. I have seen even very experienced people with years of experience take spills. You just never know what might happen at any particular moment.
