Alright my frame and rear axel are done. I used the rear axel off a racing kart with cassets and a 1 1/4" axel, tires are 11.5 x 7.1 on 9x6 rims. The problem is that the BSR sits very low to the ground and when I line up the front spindlemounts they are not in the center of the frame mount. The bottom of the spindle mount is at the bottom of the square tube. I would say I am about 3/4 of an inch lower than I should be. I have two ideas to fix the problem and I'm looking for advice.
First option: weld another piece of tubing to the top of the frame to increase the height and give more surface to attach the spindle mount to.
Option Two: Put the left spindle on the right and flip it over and viceversa and mount the tie rods to the bottom. I am not sure if this will screw up the steering geometry.
Just wondering if anyone has run into this problem and what you might have done to compensate for a low rider.
Thanks for the help!
Question:
What is Geometry?????
That's what you say when you turn into a tree.
GEE I'M A TREE.
