The Frt are 11x5.5 on a 7" wide x 6" rim
The rear are 11.5x8 on a 10"wide x 6" rim.
Check out Smokin Joe Racing on ebay. Has some good deals on tires. Got the tires about 40% off. And the rims are a fair price also. Very good guy to deal with.

Well I’ve gotten some work done. A few more spot welds and the exhaust support and its off to the races! NOT!! Still need to fab a shelf for the tank under the seat to house the battery. And the sporty wing for the rear.
The first pic is of a muffler that I got off eBay. The guy obviously lied about the size. YA 2"in diameter my ass!
Met up with Russel from N-R racing. Nice guy has a nice biz going for the Honda motors and he knows his stuff. Bought a couple parts from him and came away a little smarter also.

Thanks Heff,
Ive tried to go with some better parts on this project and its costing me!!
My kids gokart was on the cheap but safe and some of the parts are starting to fail. You do get what ya pay for!!! Ive shopped and shopped for prices and its helped save a few here $$ and there.
As far as HP goes Russel at NR Racing said when Im ready come back and we can build a real motor with 22hp+.........WOW
Cant wait to ride this damn thing. I'll probably be done just as the snow fly's.

I can tell ya about cheap. I was pulling all my set screws and applying some lock-tite and noticed that the bearings( Made in China ) were cracked around the set screws on the rear axle! Luckily my daughter took a nice long nap today and I had another set of bearings! I`ll have to keep an eye on them. Heff

What are you going to do for a air cleaner? Looks like your air cleaner may run into the rear leg of the stool. Looks good! Keep up the good work and send more pics!

That weld on the spindel bracket of the last photo looks very cold, you might want to grind it out and do it again or it may fall apart. :(

Your very much right. That was a second pass and did not turn out well. Ill be grinding it out for a better hotter weld. :smash:

The welder is a Miller 130xp. Not a bad welder I just need to become a better welder. Ill have to put in some practice hours. Lots of hours.....
Some times my welds come out very nice and others terrible.:dizzy:

Thanks for the tip on welding. A friend has told me the same thing, he is a great fabricator. When he tig welds it looks like a robot did it.

Yep. I got Millermatic 140 autoset. Except I soon realized that I couldn`t always use the autoset. I had several welds that were not getting the penetration they should have. But over all I`m very happy with the welder. So is the floor jack a Sam Club special??Heff

Sorry the floor jack is from Harbor Freight. But may favorite is from Matco and has been a great jack for years. Pump it up baby!!!

Well a little update guys. I put the frame in primer and bolted this thing together. What a freakin blast. With the govener removed ,pipe and no air cleaner at the moment. This thing rips! You really have to watch your weight placement. A little to the rear and the wheels come up.
Short wheel base makes it tough to control in power turns through the grass. Once I got a little to sideways and went tumblin. Does doughnuts on a dime, in the grass of course. not sure what the top speed will be but using a calculator it will hit 40 easy. Thats damn scary at 3' off the ground.
Tell me what you guys think about cutting down the stool to lower the center of gravity. I think every little bit will help. Also one day I may try a steering wheel. I like the looks of a wheel more but the handle bars are much more in control.
Still lots of work to do........
Add tank under seat to hide battery
Build wing for rear-maybe front wing also
Add lines for brakes
Air cleaner
Retrim seat to match frame color
paint

Hey Chris;
It looks good. Are you having the same issue with the carb surface being too close to the bar stool leg? Do you have a plan for an intake tube design? If so, I wouldn't mind barrowing some design info from you.

i have got those same tires for my buddies bsr...i used buggis tires and i got mine on the rims fairly easy. We got one of his rear ones, that will not completely go on, one side. Any hints or suggestions. As of now, we plan to use a old dirt track plan, and go ride it till it pops on...it will work, just didn't know if there was a easier idea.
Thanks

use some soap.... pop the tire off on the one side.. soap the rim.. and soap the tire.. should slide on right away..
DO NOT use oil, or greases.. that stuff will kill your tire!!
Heff

Pull the core from the stem also so that when it does pop on the bead the extra air will exit quickly.
