What size sprocket do I need for my BSR? I have a 5 hp Briggs engine and 11X5 wheels and I want low end torque. I bought a 60 tooth #41 sprocket but it is almost as big as the tire. I am using a TAv 2 with 10 tooth gear can any one help? I also bought a axle from barstool racer supply one inch and it is bent. Has anyone else ever run in to this problem?

Hey Camaro,

If you going to run a TAV with the 5hp you can use a 54T or a 40T which will both work good. The TAV will grab strong for the take off. If you were running a clutch instead of the TAV I would recommend the 60T or a 54T.

As for the axle, give us a call so we can get you taken care of. Sometimes when they cut the key way in the axle you can get a small amount of flex in the axle. Once it is bolted in the bearing hangers everything works fine.

I am not sure how bent your axle is, so call us and we will take care of you.
