Alright so i'm jumping off my seat wanting to build one of these bsr's but I have some budget issues. (college student)...

I was thinking about trying to find some company or whatever to kinda sponsor me, so what do you guys think would be my best option at making that happen. Also, about how much did you guys spend building yours?

Bought the plans a few days ago and have read through them a few times already.....during class baby.

Hey JJ, welcome! The best thing to do now that you have the plans is start gathering parts. I payed $1 per ft. for my 1" sq. tubing from a steel yard. And got several pieces....sprocket, axle and 7/8" round stock from a friend. I had a 3 1/2 HP Honda from an old edger I guy threw out...Ran fine! The biggest exspense I had were the wheels and tires!($358 from american power sports karting (apskarting). I used Krylon paint from Home Depot. I purchased the rest of the stuff from Barstool racer supply or apskarting. I think I have less than $650 into my BSR. Of course a lot of elbow grease! Like most of the guys on the site will tell you...check ebay often. You can get some really good deals on wheels and tires, motors, brakes etc. Good Luck Heff
