well I purchased a disk Brake assembly from Laser outdoor power equipment #97179 it isverry cheep $28.00 CND and was wondering if anyone has used one of thes brakes I think it will fit over the chain #35and use the sprocket as the disk but I will have to use one pice steel sprocket. is this a good idea.

Rino,

I am trying to imagine that setup. Do you have a photo of how it is supposed to be put together? Do they have an online catalog I could look at?

If they are using the sprocket as a brakedisc it sounds like you may run into clearance problems. And I have not seen anything like that before. The chain is going to get some grease and oil on the sprocket which will cause your brakes to fail.

If you have a photo or a link post it I would like to see how this setup is supposed to work.

WOW!....sure would have thought that the chain lube on the rotor would cause problems....well....an example of something that looks strange but really works....

The trick is to dry grafite lube u'r chain or take U't time just to lube the chain with blue grease with a rag or just u'r fingers
