How Wide is your frame? Just the frame. I drew up plans and it was 1 foot wide, I want to see what you guys have so I can maybe change it a bit.

I found it's easer if you build it the same width as you stool, I think mine is 14 1/2, there was room for everything doing it this size.

Hey JChatt, Heff again. You know for $10.00 Mike will email a set of plans for thr classic cruiser. Very easy to follow and lists step by step instructions and also lists all the parts needed. You can modify his plans to change the look if you want but at least you won`t run into any surprises.I used them and recommend them for a first build.http://barstoolracersupply.com/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=77

Mine is 18" wide. Had to "coax" the stool legs out a bit from their original 15" wide stance. Worked well for me in that I have no clearance issues with the TAV-2... HTH.

yeah I was going to build it to the stool but the stool is only 1' wide, and that just seems really small. My initial plan was to purchase them but i decided to design my own frame.

Heff, will a honda clone and a tav2 fit inbetween a 14.5 " frame?

I`m not sure it will without modifying the way the stool is placed on the frame. I`m running a standard clutch and don`t have much room left for anything. Some of the guys are rotating the stool so that a leg is directly in the front ( also use it to support the steering ) That way they are saying there is room. You can gain a lot of room by removing the stock exhaust and intake, but the aftermarket parts are a little pricey. Heff

Thats what I'm running know, a comet clutch on a 3.5 b&s, I've got about 1 1/2 to 2 " of clearance left if that. I guess I'll just ahve to buy the motor and tav and see what mods I'll have to make....lol, besides aint that the fun of building these.........lol:cheers:
