im just curious if any one ( other then myself with my build ) has put any angle on there front end.. as in.. turned the front spindls back.. roughtly 10*..

this helps with camber.. they sit flat when the wheels are straight.. when you turn left.. it will make them go to ther camber.. and turning left will lift the left rear off.. letting the stool turn and "push" less.. and it does the same turning right

My bar stool started life as a racing cart and it has the top spindles turned back like you discussed. This thing handles like a dream and has no push at all. :thumb:

I have mine set up at 7.5*caster and it seems to work great. Tryed 15* and it was way to much.

When I set mine up at 15* . At full turn it lifted the rear tire about 3/4". That seems crazy on a BSR. As I said 7.5* seems to work great for me.

Your Right on with that man . and you can also angle the top of the king pins in tward the center 5 deg. but you have to at the same time level out the spindles the same amount . this has the same effect as the afore mentioned method. Can you Dig It geometry is Cool , like they they said in High School.

You can buy Camber Pill Kits for your front end and make your camber adjustable. You can buys these at some karting stores online.
Just drill out your kingpin holes and drill a hole for the Pill dowel and you're done.
Setting the camber will make the BSR handle better as far as steering is concerned and make it a little more comfortable to ride.
Altering the camber tilts the wheel in or out, reducing the tire contact print on the ground.
This is a must if you intend on racing around in a cricle

Do you have any pics or link to parts? I thought ackerman would really help more than caster.

Go to http://www.tsracing.com they stock pill kits for most of the major LTO kart manufacturers.
We use a Phantom Nemesis chassis for LTO racing.

Ackerman is used more in karting than any other form of motorsport.
It causes the inside front wheel to steer more or sharper than the outside front wheel, thus helping the kart to turn into a corner without corner entry under steer.
The real reason for using so much Ackerman, is that it helps to accelerate the lift at the inside front corner of the kart.
With a live axle setup Ackerman helps rotate the kart in the corners, giving you a lot more corner speed.
