Hey everybody,
Finally going to actually make something! Well here is the frame so far which bm1 built (still working on). He owns www.mccall-motorsports.com Anyways I bought the wagon works plans and here is what I have so far. I am going to use a live axle instead of a single wheel drive. I'll quit my yapping and show you the pics. Still have to add the swingarm and a couple other things such as shock mounts, control arms (ready to bolt on).

hey Sniffles,
I assume you are putting the suspension on the front of that? I saw some pics on wagon works, and it looks like it would be tough to do. I want to build one with shocks up front, but a simpler looking design, but I would rather have the style i think you are using because it looks much nicer...So anyway, is it a difficult setup to make?
by the way, looks like a great start there.
Thanks,
Wayfat

Hi Guys,
I am building the frame for Sniffles from plans he got from The Wagon Works. These plans are not easy to follow at all. A lot of measurments and angles missing. I re-drew them so I could get all the angles right. It will be a nice piece when done. Main frame out of 1"x1" square, .120 wall. All TIG welded in a temp. fixture I made as to keep it straight. I'll send Sniffles more pics as I go along. Maybe he'll post some for you to view.

Didn't want to bash the plans so I kept my mouth shut. If you can interpret the plans it will definitely be a nice looking wagon. I wouldn't say the front suspension is easy though. I couldn't do it, but maybe if you have the tools you could. The biggest problem I see is making the lower cups. You could always have them custom made for you or order the ones from Wagon Works. Unless you have a lathe and some serious fab skills I would have them made for you. I bet you could make the upper spring mounts and control arms fairly easily though. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for looking!

The red one you see in the pic is a Lincoln 200 TIG, and the partial one in blue is a Miller 200 MIG. I also have a Lincoln 185 square wave with a pulse attachment which I mostly use for aluminum. You can never have too many welders!

Very Nice fab work. Clean welds and looks to be very true and symetrical. Keep up the good work. Cant wait to see the control arms and coilovers in place.

Im workin on designing my own radio flyer frame. Im pretty good with AutoCAD. Im a designer/welder and so is my buddy that builds with me. So, i think mine will be a rigid life axle design. It aint too bad to make that way. I might do a front suspension. I guess well just have to see how hard it would be.
