When talking chop saws, What do you guys use or recomend to get. I think I'm in the market for my personal chopsaw, I have been using my father-In-laws craftsman, But its missing one foot and cuts a little krucked.
How about the adjusting of the angles, Are any of the other ones better and more accurate angles?
As Of my questions I'm asking out of you guys personal use.

i have a hitachi 14" saw.. its really nice.. except when yout cutting some bigger stuff ( 2" square ) when it hits the bottom piece it takes a little while to get threw.. but other then that its a nice tool!!! when you get it you wotn think youll use it alot.. then when you start a project.. it gets used quite a bit!!! and wheels arnt to to expensive and they last a decent amount of time..

Depending on how much you use one. If you plan on using one alot, then go with the better quality one. Some of the stuff I've seen at Harbor freight and Northern doesn't cut straight and the motors don't last long.
Craftsman, Milwaulkee, Porter Cable are a few of the quality saws. But along with quality, comes price. I would expect to pay around $200. for one.

yup... dont cheap out on them.. we paid about $200 for ours.. makes straight cuts..
dont go cheap with poewr tools.. youll spend more repalcing it for 50$ then you would if you spent the 130$ for the first name brand one ( mastercraft, milwalky, makita...

Well I was going to buy either a new craftsman or dewalt but, A friend of mine was selling his, So i bought it. Since i know the history on it, I felt comfortable.
It is a hitachi cc14sf (about the same as the craftsman and dewalt) paid $70 so not to bad I reckon.

I bought a PermaX ( off brand/store brand )with lazer from Menards. It was regularly $139 I think but got it for $119 on sale. Ya know I agree about buying name brands with all my tools but I don`t use a chop saw all that much. I was really impressed with this saw. It cuts the angles really nice and without much labor on the motor. Heff
