So what exactly besides holding the tube does that thing do? Does it cut the ends as well?

on the end of the shaft ther isshould be a hole saw the same size as the tube you are working with to notch 0deg to 90degand a hand drill on the other end.

The same thing as the Ole Joint Jigger. I bought the Joint Jigger for $149.00, then found some knock offs for $49.00. I got ripped.

I bought the same ole joint jigger and it is much more precise than the knockoff's. I noticed the cheapo's to allow the holesaw to walk a little bit and it eggs your notch. Not that it matters as its a pretty good fit anyways, but I have carbide tipped holesaws and if it walks it knocks the carbide off and I am not real fond of silver soldering new carbide teeth on and having to reshape them.
