I got my stock, got my motor (6.5 honda clone) bought a welder, band saw and a few parts to get started....But I can't find a bar stool to fit. I have tried 3 different stools so far and I cant find one that is wide enough. The best one so far is about 14" wide and I don't have enough room for a clutch/converter with it.
I really dont want to spend $80-$100 for one, I have tried a couple resturant supply places they are too $$$ or too small, I found one by Alltrade at Pep Boys and that is the 14". Any Ideas for a 15"-17" stool that will not break my bank??? I still have ALOT of barts to buy. Looking forward to starting my BSR.
Thanks.

Hey tk20fan,
There is a thread on this forum about a barstool company you can purhase stools online for a good price. I was not able to locate the link tonight, but here is another I found.
The website is barstooldepot.com. If you search the forums you can find some of the same stools on the other site for less.
I just look at the first page on barstooldepot.com and went to the crome ring stools link and thet had a nice 17" width.
Hope this helps!

You can take any bar stool and before u put it togeather put the legs in a pipe bender & slightly increase the amount of bend and get a wider stance. But make sure u make each bend the same. This works I did it to mine.

Instead of putting your stool together first, try mounting it to the stool and doing the assembly while its mounted. Ive run into this same deal.I had the same stool, but the next one built was slightly different. 1 * of a bend and it threw it off.Use a rubber mallot to adjust it around where you like.
