hello i am new at this and was just wondering which one was better. is one longer/shorter than the other? if one is longer will this make it harder to do wheelies and ride on the side wheels? i was just wondering before i got in this too deep as i have already bought the plans for the pro street

Either one works great! I bought both plans, but built mine loosely based on the Classic Cruiser. I say loosely because I changed up the front end and lengthened the frame a bit to support adding a cooler rack/ wing. I've not had any problems with getting it to wheelie, but have not been able to get it to side wheel. Have fun with the build...:thumb:

thanks for the input man. what is a motor that will give me a lot of speed on this BSR but is not too expensive or too heavy?

I used a 6.5 horse Briggs. Alot of folks are using the Tecumseh engines and Honda knock-offs from Harbor Freight. The 6.5 works fine for me; 35+ MPH, plenty of wheelie power, etc... Whatever you decide, spring for a TAV-2; well worth the money.:thumb:

I bought my latest 5.5 Briggs Intek for $90 used (6 months old) off of Craigslist. A new one can be had for about $200 at Northern Tools. Check this link for a full description of the TAV-2 http://www.hoffcocomet.com/comet/oem-torque-converters.asp#tav2 and this link http://www.bmikarts.com/shop/index.php?shop=1&itemid=646&passedfrom=thumb&showFullImage= for some very decent prices on the TAV-2. HTH!!
