So I had the Tav2 on my last 6.5 horsepower Briggs motor which blew, so i ordered a 7hp brand new Briggs, and switched out the transmission cover (so that what the Tav2 bolts to is the same piece as the last motor). basically, i am mounting the Tav2 to the same motor again (same shaft length as well)
However! when i try to bold on the Tav2, the belt isnt straight (the two pulley things closest to the motor are not matched up where they are supposed to be even).
The Drive unit is about an 1/2 an inch farther out than it should be (with the proper spacer in the right location), however when i take the spacer out, then it is still not aligned).
Basically i need to buy a 1/2 x 3/4 inch spacer, but my question is how is it possible that the Tav2 doesnt bolt correctly the same way? shouldnt it be identical to the first mount?
Please help me I am confused and frustrated!
