I'm looking for a picture of what a frame would look like for a 1/4 scale mini rod. I recently bought a mold for a mini 41 willy's body and want to try to build one, but i'm trying to figure out how to mount the body so it can be taken off easy to start and refuel the engine. I'm also looking at doing the T bar steering but wondering how to attach the cross bar and controld so that they can be easily removed to lift off the body. Wondering if the roof should be supported also to help carry the driver's weight or to just make the roof and body heavier with more layers of fiberglass. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank You
Brian

I think you would just build a gokart frame to your liking and add brackets to mount the body to the frame I have a f150 race truck gokart and it looks like thats all they did. The frame is cut with access to add fuel and oil anything major the body may have to come off.

That should work. I'm still wondering about some sort of support bar for the roof where the driver would sit on. There is a picture on the site of a 56 ford pickup that looks the same and I'm going to try something the same line as this. I will keep you posted and thank you for your help.
