Over the period of gathering parts for my BSR, I have made multiple orders from BMI Karts. Each order takes about a week before they even ship it and about another week before UPS delivers.

The shipping time I can understand, but taking a week to even fill the order is beyond me.

Currently, I am waiting on an order that yet to be filled. When I have called, I have received various "reasons" as to the delay... always me waiting about a week, calling to find out about the order, then being told "It should ship today":eek2: (I am waiting on a bolt)

Periodic delays are a fact of business: machining, staff shortages, vendor shortfalls; but routine delays, without a follow-up, are ridiculous.

The words "rapid" or "quick" do not come to mind concerning BMI

Both these vendors ship same day! UPS gets it to you quick. I have also used BMI in the past and had no issues, but APS and TS are my vendors of choice. Great parts selection, more race stuff than basic mini bike stuff. My opinion. Race Ratz

I would recommend anyone to BMI. I am surprised, as they have been nothing but helpful. I called them to discuss some items, got quick and accurate answers with timely shipping. Maybe they like me better. ;)

I am here in the frozen mitten also, but have not had any issues with BMI.

Thanks for the information/replies. Hopefully, this is temporary issue with them, and they can get back on track. Hmmm... unless... they just don't like shipping to California.

I'm im the same boat here, BMI has had full payment for over a week now. The reply I get is " I'll see what we can do" as far as shipping my order. Anyone planning on future orders to BMI should plan for a 3 week leadtime......

i have bought lots of stuff from bmi. they have always shipped fast, the problem i have is getting all the righy stuff at once. last time i emailed them to please double check everything and they got it all right the first time. I have had troubles, but i keep going back. i think they are pretty reasonable, and have pretty good stuff.

I hear ya, Chippo... eventually, it will get to you. Everything that I have ordered... showed up at some point. It is a shame, because they carry alot of things that makes life easier, but as you said, plan on an extended time to receive. If you get it sooner, then you are that much ahead.

As a side, I ordered some other parts from another company. When I asked when it would ship, they said that day. And within a few hours of placing the order, I receive the tracking notice email and a phone call to let me know one of the parts were on back order and they would ship it as soon as possible.... Within a couple of days, the other part was on its way.

..."Customer Service"... why is that such a difficult concept for some.:eek2:
