what do you call this?

im not sure wat there call but ive seen them on scooter and bikes, they are used to power lights etc. they put the gen/motor/or wat ever it is on the tire with cause a current. so if any one knows what they are called would be great

I do believe that he is talking about the old style generators that they used to put on bicycles. They had a wheel at the top of them and they would (when pushed in) get against the tire and turn. This would generate enough electricity to run a light.
