After the last trip to the track I had a GREAT excuse to need a cooler that could be taken to the staging lanes to fill the intercooler with ice. We did it in the pits but sometimes sitting in the staging lanes a couple cubes might melt, so it gave me a great excuse for a new project.

Started collecting the first couple parts. Idea is somewhat of a rat rod look to it, like it was built in the 56/60's. I have an idea on the front axle to make it look like a 30's ford I beam.

If anybody has any good ideas throw them out.

1st item showed up friday.

Picked this up also.

My dad is going to sew up a pleated 60's style seat top for it.

I have lots of fabrication tools, so plan to build something a bit different.

here is a cooler i found on the internet, and a picture of a wagon i am building. I think it would be cool to with the cooler on the wagon frame, and a motor on back, of course. not sure if that's what you were thinking, but thats what popped into my head when i read your post.
good luck and be sure and keep us posted.
