want faster engine!

ive got a 6.5 hp tucemseh power sport engine. does anybody know how to take the governer off and were the restrictor plate is. thanks

Hey Brother just take all the crap off around the carb and hook your throttle up direct to the carb,quick and easy.:cheers:

did you bypass the govenor on your engine as woodchuck said?
how did it work?
I have a 6.5 hp honda copy, (sterling). been thinking of doing the same.
just afraid to blow it up. A buddie of mine runs pulling lawn tractors, he says the main thing to do, is a good rod, other than that they will handle the rpm's fine.
I blew the rod out the side of a 5hp briggs when I was a kid by bypassing the gov. on a minibike.

Hey Mini did you get the governer off the motor. with the right gearing and racing clutch you should be able to hit 50 or 60 MPH with that motor!:thumb:
