I finally bit the bullet and bought some Douglas rims and some sweet new cnc machined hubs. I am currently running a live axle and I am not sure how I should secure them to the rear axle. The rear hubs came with a built in clamp but with that be enough to ensure they will not work lose and slide off? Should I look into using lock collars as well? Any help would be great! Would hate to lose a wheel at 40mph! lol

I have the same setup and I had the exact same thoughts!!! On mine I machined a groove for snap ring on the end of the shaft. So the shaft sticks through the wheel and then I just put the snap ring on and there is no way it can come off.
If you don't have a lathe you could drill and tap the hubs for a set screw and then drill a dimple into the shaft for the set screw to sink into.

I have used the standard rear hubs that clamp to the axle and I have never had a problem with movement. I even ride on the side two wheels and no movement.

I would go with a tire with a slight tread pattern if you want to go off road a bit. I have Bridgestone slicks and I get no traction off road. Even slippery in the grass because the torque converter has a lot of rip. Check out what Dunlop or Bridgestone has to offer.

Thanks, thats good to know. I havent had an issue with these new hubs yet, but I wanted to make sure they wernt going to come off like my last set. I was lucky to be on the grass when the rear wheel cut lose. lol
