I have wanted build one of these for about six years now. I am finally going to build my first one. I have had several things donated to the cause including a set of aluminum rims with tires and a Briggs and Stratton motor. I am not sure of the size but am going to post a pic if anyone can help me identify it that would be great. I have been told that it might have came from a quarter midget race car but am not sure same with the tires. A few things I am not sure of though is where do you find parts like hubs brakes that sort of thing. Can anyone help?

Couldnt get the pic to post but here is a link to it.

good luck with the build. I get most of my parts from ebay or BMI karts. But Mike sells everything you need right here.
be sure and post some pics when you get things started.

The shaft is a one inche but I ended up not using that. I opted to take the dumber route and am building mine with a 2 stroke 125cc air cooled dirtbike engine and a five speed gear box. I did get most of my stuff from BMI they were the cheapest I found and really good to deal with there stuff is also really nice looking. The hardest thing to find at a decent price I thought was the bar stool I ended up paying $50 for mine shipped. I only ordered a few things from Barstoolracersupply.com and I was not real impressed with the website. A lot of the things listed in the plans that said they sold I could not find on the website and then when I got my order I was shorted a few parts with no explanation why, no refund, no nothing. I have not contacted them about it and it was only $3 worth of stuff but it is still the point. I finally got under way with my build a few weeks ago and things are comming along really well I am making a few twists of my own on it and think it should turn out pretty unique when I am done.
