Hi, I live in Fort Worth, TX. I was at the Jimmy Buffett Concert this last weekend and a guy and his buddy came by with two BSR's and needed to use our air compressor for the tires I told them they could use it if I could drive one they said no problem. I aired up the tire and away I went. After about twenty feet I was hooked, after two laps around the parking lot a friend that was with me pulled up on the other one and we had a drag race. After that I offered him $500.00 cash right there for it (now that I have seen what they are really worth I hope I didn't insult him) I now have plans to have my own done at the very latest by next years concert. Let me say hi and in advance thanks for all the information and advice I have already got from looking at the forums for the last 5 hours.... Oh God my wifes gonna kill me here we go with another project LOL

So glad you got hooked up! Do you have any plans yet or will you just buy a stool all done? If you're gona build one buy the plans from the Big Cheese. The racer comes out right and runs like a striped-ass monkey. Great instructions and worth every penny. If you like barstool racers you're also going to need to build a potato gun. Sort of completes the picture......

I already have the spud gun. I built a new one about 3 years ago but I built my first one in high school. . . . I am going to build my own BSR. I figured I would buy the plans since my only experience was no where near long enough. Plus if I build it I know it inside and out and tht makes it easier to modify or repair.

I have to admit I don't know what a spud gun is. Can you explain or post pics? And I'm in the potato state! (Idaho) Maybe I gotta have one?
I started my first BSR three weeks ago, and now starting my third one!
They look real cool lined up at my bar in the garage. Moved wife's car outside yesterday to make room for more. She's not happy as its been raining quite a bit!
I guess I'm addicted to these things..........

I don't have pics of mine but here are some close to what I have. They are very easy to build go to spudtech.com for plans and all the info you will need. These things are a blast (Pardon the pun).
Basicly it is a home made gun that you load with some form of combustable fluid ( I prefer Right guard deoderant (gold can) because it doesn't get as sticky as hairspray) and load a potato by craming it down the barrell like a black powder rifle then push the button and watch the Idaho spud fly.
