Cost

OK I know this is a question everyone complains about but I have to know. Roughly what does it cost to build the classic cruiser if you are smart and have time to shop around for the parts. I am looking for people to give me a range so I can determine what to build and I appreciate the help. Thanks

I didn't build the classic cruiser but mine is similar and bought some used stuff and mostly new but shopped around and I have about 1200 in mine with enough paint left over to paint several more !!!!:thumb:

For me the biggest expense was the wheels and tires.Next the TAV 2. I used an old Honda motor off an old edger that was thrown away.I got about $700 into mine. Heff

Ive got one that I started for someone that backed out. All parts are here and frame is almost complete. I have $1300 into this one and Ill sell it for that. Check a finished pic of my other one finished.

I have all the parts to finish just like the orange one. Wheels, tires, engine, brakes along with all hardware. Wings, spindles, stool ,TAV, handle bars......Everything!!!
Do the math. It adds up fast with all new parts. If I shopped around and waited for deals it would come off a little cheaper. But not by much.
So instead of selling as a kit Ive started selling off the parts.

I have about $600 in mine but I cheated. The motor that is on it is from a dirtbike that I bought for skittles and then parted out after I took everything from it that I wanted. I so that helped knock the cost down when you figure my motor ended up profitting me a few hundred.
