I decided to finally introduce myself after being a member for a month or so.
Some of you may have read some of replies and threads.
I'm a 49 year old racing junkie from down under and have lived here in the US coming up 13 years. Born in New Zealand, lived in Australia in the outback, lived in Canada, spent a year in Denver Colorado and finally settled here in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Raced a lot of things over the years, motorcycles MX and roadbikes, go karts indoor and sprint, rally cars, offroad buggies, and 4X4 rock climbing, mudding etc.
I have an engineering background, I can fabricated and machine most things. Over the years I have built and modified my own race cars.
My son and I still race go karts both LTO and sprint. I build all his karts for him from the ground up and with his help. He has a State championship, a Track Championship and a bedroom full of trophies for his efforts.
I stumbled on this site a few months ago while planning on building a BSR. I bought about 3 sets of plans and have taken ideas from each one and some karting tech to build our first BSR.
Due to the cold weather I haven't ventured into the shop much, so I have ordered all the parts, cut out the steel and I'm waiting on a warm day to finish fabbing the frame.
We intend on taking the BSR to car and bike shows to regenerate some interest in both karting and BSR.
