Removing Governor?

I am wondering if anyone has removed their governor and if they have had any problems with their clutchs or TAVs? I believe that without the governor my RPM would exeed the clutches max, and if i spend that much on a clutch i would rather not have it fly apart. Thanks

I have a 5.5hp honda ungoverned and only have a cheap PA clutch and seems to run just fine
