New to the forum, some great info here. I recently recieved a cooler croozer from a friend. It has been sitting for a while and the brake wasnt really working all that great. I starting messing around with it and I broke the disc. Is the disc supposed to move on the axle freely if the caliper is regid mounted? Also where is a good place to get a new disc? I see that Northern Tool has one from Airhart for about $25.
Thanks,
Tony

looks pretty nice.
If your caliper is mounted solid on the frame, your rotor/disk should be mounted solid to the axle so when the axle rotates the disk rotates with it, just like a car, when the caliper clamps on the disk it slows down the axle, etc etc etc. When you say it wasn't working that well, you mean it doesn't stop good? Or What? If it is mechanical instead of hydraulic, it won't work that well, at least not in my opinion.
I order all my BSR parts from BMIkarts.com, they have good prices, good shipping rates, and they have some really nice looking new and used items.
Good Luck and Have fun!!!

Thanks for the quick relply. It is mechanical. IT was not stopping the cart very well. I had the same setup on a gokart and it would lock up the axle when you hit the brakes. There is no set screw in the disc, that is why I ask if it is supposed to move.
Thanks,
Tony
