View Full Version : Air Filter Mod for HF clone 6.5?

Hey Guys,
Anyone have a mod for the Airfilter on the HF Clone, I built Two BSR's from the plans on the website, Down to installing the engines, Muffler mod wont be a problem, engine fits under the stool really well without the stock filter ,There is really no way I can see to use the Stock filter this thing is huge, Any Ideas

They dont make those anymore. Try fabbing your own and clamp on a filter like this.

Schulz- the setup on the A&W machine is slick. I've got a setup like the snapon rig right now. I'm gonna have to modify the stool leg unless I can fab something like your other one.

Ya, I made that one. Took a bunch of hours and grinding to smooth it out. You can make one yourself. Just trace a gasket on to 3/16"or 1/4" steel for the mount and then weld on a 1" tube. Cut to length and add a metal filter adapter and filter. Done

Oh yeah... Easy... ****. I've observed your fab skills. You're lightyears ahead of me. Not sayin' I wont try to make my own. I guess my mind was being a bit rigid. Perhaps I need to drink a little while I'm in the garage. Maybe that'll soften up the grey matter.

sweet... thanks. i think i figured out a way to keep the stock air filter though. we'll see if it works.
