Hi Mike,

Newbie here. Wondering exactly what axle width did you go with. Could you give me some dimentions of your BSR? From your pictures I really like the job you did on yours it has the proportions I'm looking to use. One more question too did you go with the torqconverter right off the bat or did you upgrade? Is it that much better than a standard clutch for the money?? Thanks for any help you can throw my way.

Hey Brian,

The width of my rear axle is 29".

Frame length is 34" and width (based on my bar stool leg width) 15".

Information about the rims and tires I used can be found in the forum at this link:

As for the tork-a-verter, I wanted to get as much speed out of the BSR as I could. If you want speed I would go for it, the only thing to remember is you need to make clearence for it. Remember the rear pulley expands at speed and you need to be sure it does not rub on the bar stool legs.

Send us some pics when you get it done!

Mike

Thanks for the info Mike I really appreciate it.On the axle did you have to cut it down from another stock axle or were you able to get one the correct size? I've vistited my local racing kart shop and man they are a bit $$$$ over on-line but they do have a lot of info so I might have to bit the bullett on some parts so I can pick their brain. Thanks agian for all the help Mike.
