Anyone have a good source for 24 inch bar stools? I'm running into the problem of the standard 28 inch stools being too tall plus the will not fit over the Harborfreight engines.

Thanks in advance
Tim

A lot of guys cut their stools down to the right height.
You can, however buy a 24" stool frame and add the seat to it, or try a drummers/musicians stool which come in 24".
As for the clearance problems with the HF Clone, you will need a right angle carb adapter to achieve the clearance you need. Some guys will take off the gas tank and mount a beer keg type tank behind the seat.
Have you pulled the governor off yet?

Here is a site you can buy just the barstool frame and parts.

I had a local race shop bend me up some tubing to fit the base of the stool. He welded it up for me and it fit over the clone very well. I left the motor stock. I made a template out of paper and took it to him. The bends are higher to clear the motor, but the legs are shorter than the original bar stool. Good Luck, have fun, be safe.

Mike, I saved the link for a possible option. I'm still looking local but it is good to have resources! Thank you for the reply.

No worries Tim.
Take a look at all the photo posts of some of the members BSRs to get ideas.
Chris Insull came up with an idea that I'm going to try myself, I'll see if I can find the post for you.
Hey Frank, can you post some photos of your seat set-up please?

Tim, I found a post from Matt showing Mikes build, which has photos of the seat modification and engine clearances.
A great job by Mike on his first build.

I bought this one on Amazon, good price and the shipping wasn't horrible either.

24" Bar Stool on Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/Inch-Black-Swivel-Bar-Stool/dp/B00443JR0I/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1300385211&sr=8-11)

Great find, I'm sure some of the other members will take advantage of the price.
I never thought about buying a barstool from Amazon. When you think about Amazon the first thing that comes to mind are books. I have it saved in my favorites. Thanks.

No source for the stool, but another option is to rotate the stool 90 deg. It then fits over the HF motor perfectly.

I ordered the 24" stool off of Amazon and I also have this Halrey stool coming. Going to use the Harley top on the 24" frame.
