I am having some issues with a "new" chinese 125 that has no spark!
I have the wiring schematic from several vendors and have tried 3 CDI boxes and all the other components came with the Ebay engine as "NEW",but no spark, I have a/c out of the stator, but nothing seems to be triggering the CDI. I hate to just throw parts at it as these are "new" any ideas?

Have you tried a good earth from the CDI to the engine?
Usually the earth passes through the frame to the engine.

Everything on this thing is grounded to the battery and engine.

Does it come with a keyswitch or is it hardwired with a kill switch?

kill is suppose to be the center of the CDI bottom row, according to my schematic. I have that pin hanging in the air. i got my schematic from Hooper imports. too big to load on this forum . I can resize if you wanna see.

I'm wondering if all the switches need to be hooked up to complete the circuit?
We have a guy on the forum here that works on this kind of stuff all the time and he might be able to put his finger right on the problem.
I'm just guessing here, not being able to see the engine and wiring.
Try PMing him, Mattw.
He's from Dallas Texas and works in a cycle shop, very knowledgeable guy.

Cannot find Matt99 on here.

I count 9 earths on this circuit, I would start checking those first, it maybe something that simple. Like I said, just guessing.

The Dallas guy your looking for is Menosabe. What brand of motor with horse power do you have and what did it go on. the Chinese wire these things in different ways so I need a little more info

Yeah, I'm really sorry about that, I'm running around with my head up my arse.
Thanks for responding Menosabe and I apologize for the screw up to both of you.
I have the flu and I blame it all on the drugs, you will all have to give me an intervention.

Are you getting a good signal from the pick up coil? It should be the blue and white wire coming out of the case.

No see I think this is the is issue I am thinking it should pulse at TDC. right?

Menosabe this is a 125 cc electric start 3 speed auto clutch, came off Ebay from ****S IN CHINA. or Shentzen China, However you say it. Magneto has a black /red , lighting coil white and a yellow. Crank trigger is blue w/white tracer and a green for ground.

I am by no means an expert on these but the pluse from the pick up coil should be a bit before top dead center. I'm guessing 10 to 15 degrees. You can remove the three screws from the left side cover and you will see the flywheel. Remove the spark plug so you can turn the motor over. On the flywheel there should be a small magnet, run this back and forth past the pickup coil and with a multimeter you see some activity. You can also test the pickup coil by measuring it internal resistance, I am not sure what the ohms should be but I'm sure someone on here knows.

Sorry for the delay, crazy at work between selling and fixing stuff. The most probable problem is a bad CDI. They come in all kinds of shapes and sizes. Take yours off and look for a connection match at this site. http://www.roketapartsonline.com/electrical-parts-cdi-boxes-c-398_270.html
Post a picture of yours if you need some help finding the right one.

Menosabe; I have tried 3 different ones ,as I know there is no way to test them without a running motor. I have tried 3 CDI and two ignition coils and I just ordered a new Magneto, charging coil, and trigger , I feel it is the trigger because it shows open on the ohmmeter. the magneto coil test 300 ohms and the ignition coil is 1 ohm

I repaired a unit today that cranked but no fire to the plug. If you can't get the starter to turn over then your problem might be the starter relay. Test: take the starter out and try spinning it with some jumper wires tied directly to a battery. If the starter spins, then check the starter relay by putting your volt meter on the hot and ground wire of the relay (fat cables) Tap your starter button => you should get voltage at the meter. If you don't. Then the starter relay is bad. (listen for a clicking sound coming from the starter relay. If that doesn't work, send me an email with a picture of your unit so I can better understand.
