im thinking about using an 11 horse motor. but i dont know what torque converter to use.... i have searched all over the place but no one can give me an answer. what im looking for is some thing that will give me the most bottom end torque and the most top speed. i am new to the whole world of small engines. but i know enough to buil the thing. so can some one please help me out here what is the best torque converter to use on an 11 horse motor that will give me the BEST bottom end torque to get me going, and the BEST top end speed to keep me happy??????

I would go with a comet 40 torq-a-verter. A little more expensive then the TAV2 but rated for a higher horsepower rating. What size shaft do you have?

i actually just thought about it and im thinkg i am gonna go with an 8 horse instead. i know most of yall are running the TAV2, how are your experiences with this??? and do you think that it will give me what i am looking for like i stated in my first post??

Yup, I ran one on my go kart and got great speed and great acceleration. Just make sure you get a 12 tooth driver for more speed as the 10 will give you awesome acceleration but not so great top speed.
