I have a Comet SCD-1 Differential with no axiles. Does anyone know where to purchase axiles?

Surf for the name of the diff..."Comet SCD-1" and when you find dealers...search for parts.....I ordered mine with a pair of axles that i cut the splined ends off and added to a chromoly kart axle.....The chromoly kart axles are hollow and the Comet axle fits inside...I cut the Kart axle a little off center because the diff is not in the center of the frame...then I cut about 5" off each splined end of the Comet axle and inserted it in the Kart axle...use a "plug weld" technique to attach it...then carefully grind the weld to the OD of the axle....All this must slide inside a 1-1/4" bearing...be suer to use 4 bearing supports for the axle....Have you given any thought about where to mount the brake disk?...on the diff gives you even braking...good luck....ps: look back and see pics of my setup...its as I described

Thanks for the info RUBICON. Would you consider selling a disc brake adapter for the Differential?

The best method of adding a disk to the SD-1 is to fab and tig a ring to the right diff housing ...then bolt the disk to it....the space is real tight with 4 bearings in this area...mine all fit with 1/4" to spare...real colse....have you seen the pics of mine?....
